Directions
Horseshoe Bend is located a few miles south of Page, AZ on US89 and the hike to the rim is an easy ½ mile. A national park sign on the right side of the road “Horseshoe Bend” is hard to miss. For Google Maps driving directions to Horseshoe Bend click the green "View Map" icon and then select "Get Directions" in the upper left hand corner of Google Maps. Most photographers try to photograph the river bend mid-morning as the sunrises directly from behind. About 10am the rivers bend is fully light and makes for a great picture but if you’re looking for a special photo try sunset. The area I took this picture from is directly down from the paved walkway that leads to the rim.
